Society terms of service

Version 2026-10-30. Accepted by the society admin in the last step of society setup.

Draft for review. These terms will be finalised with legal review before launch.

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between Round Bit Technologies Pvt. Ltd. ("Boundary", "we") and the residential society, association or RWA you are setting up ("the Society"). They cover the Society's use of the Boundary apps and services.

By accepting, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that the Society's managing committee has authorised you to accept these terms on its behalf. Each resident, family member, tenant and guard who uses Boundary also accepts the user terms and privacy policy when they sign in.

2. What Boundary provides

Boundary helps the Society run day-to-day operations: visitor and gate management through the guard app, announcements, maintenance records, resident, tenant and family records, document storage and related tools. Some features are marked "coming soon" and will be added over time.

We may improve, change or retire features. If we remove a feature the Society relies on, we will give reasonable notice in the app.

3. The Society's responsibilities

The Society agrees to:

4. Residents, guards and decisions

Boundary is a tool. Decisions such as maintenance amounts, penalties, approvals, parking or amenity rules are made by the Society, not by Boundary. Disputes between the Society and its members, tenants or staff are for the Society to resolve. We may help by providing records from the app where the law allows.

5. Personal data and privacy

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Society decides why and how its members' personal data is used, and Boundary processes that data on the Society's behalf to provide the service.

We will:

The Society should collect only the data it needs and tell its members how it uses Boundary. Our privacy policy explains this in more detail.

6. Security and visitor records

Visitor logs, approvals and alerts help the Society's security but do not replace it. Physical security, guard staffing and the decision to let someone in remain the Society's responsibility. Boundary is not liable for loss, theft or harm on the premises.

7. Photos, documents and content

The Society and its members own what they upload, such as the logo, property photos, notices, rental agreements and police verification documents. They give Boundary permission to store, process and display this content only to provide the service.

Upload only content you have the right to share. Identity and verification documents must be uploaded with the person's consent and are visible only to the people the app allows, such as the flat owner and authorised committee members. Unlawful, offensive or misleading content may be removed.

8. Fees and payments

Fees for Boundary, if any, are as agreed with the Society in its plan or order. Maintenance records in the app show what the Society has recorded; the Society is responsible for their accuracy. If online payments are added, separate payment terms from Boundary or its payment partners will apply.

9. Acceptable use

Do not use Boundary to harass or spam anyone, impersonate others, upload malware, attempt to access other societies' data, copy or reverse-engineer the apps, or break any law. We may suspend accounts that do.

10. Availability and support

We aim to keep Boundary available at all times but cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may carry out maintenance, ideally outside busy hours. Support is available through the contact details in the app.

11. Ending the service

The Society may stop using Boundary at any time, subject to its plan. We may suspend or end the service for serious or repeated breach of these terms or non-payment, after giving notice where reasonable.

When the service ends, the Society can request an export of its data for 30 days. After that we delete it, except where the law requires us to keep it.

12. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Boundary is provided "as is". We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by the Society's or its members' own actions. Our total liability to the Society is limited to the fees it paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will show the changes in the app, and for significant changes the Society admin will be asked to accept the new version. Continuing to use Boundary after that means the Society accepts the update.

14. Law and grievances

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Jaipur, Rajasthan have jurisdiction.

For complaints or questions about these terms or your data, contact our Grievance Officer at care@boundary.site. We will acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days.
